Tips for those starting their MA dissertations

* Doesn't matter how many rejections you receive from different potential supervisors. If you believe in yourself and in the topic you've chosen, keep looking, the "One" will come along eventually. Meanwhile, keep reading books/academic articles and proofreading/editing your research proposal.

* Don't listen to the people who tell you that it's completely OKAY to finish your MA dissertation in one or two years. Because it's not! at all! You have 6 months to finish it. And if you put your heart into it, you will really do it and rock the shit out of it especially if you get blessed by a cooperative supervisor.

* Choose a topic that appeals you for the night is dark and full of terror and it's going to be a long bumpy ride and if you're not feeling heating academic passion towards the topic you're working on, you'll dump it and join the "Civil Society" instead.

* Finally, we all know that the "system" is "crappy". But, if you really wanna succeed, you will succeed no matter the circumstances. You need to cope with the conditions as they change from one step to the other and as Darwin once said “It is not the strongest or the most intelligent who will survive but those who can best manage change.”
Good luck! And don't forget to rock the shit out of them pappies!
